Ziv's Story

Ziv Rosenzweig | Isreal

I have been playing squash for over 30 years. I started to play squash as a teenager after trying Tennis and got hooked to the speed and racket skills required. Through the years I played mostly on the club level with the occasional national tournament

I have participated in several SquashSkills events and every time came home with a desire to learn more and to tell my friends that we should participate in a similar event.

My last SquashSkills event was October 22 and 2 weeks later I discovered I had brain cancer.

Squash for me is the driving force to keep improving and getting healthy. After 2 months without Squash I started to "Play" and to work hard to get back to my old Squash level.

It's still a work in progress, and for me if/when I'll participate in another SquashSkills event it will mean that I have overcome a major milestone and life can get back on track.

On court my proudest moment is getting the silver medal in the Maccabiah games in singles.

Up until 6 months ago squash was a great sport with great people. But now Squash is what makes me happy.
